Sylvan

Sylvans, also called forest genasi, are the heirs of the primeval power of the forest. Some sylvans are fey and strange as the deep woods, while others are as kind and nurturing as a sunlit grove. Most sylvan, though not all, hail from the Moranneon.   Some sylvans have hair reminiscent of vines or moss. Their skin, which comes in shades of verdant green and earthy brown, may be gnarled and mottled like tree bark; it may sprout leaves, blossoms, fungi, or fur-like coats of moss and lichen. Some sylvans have terrifying aspects: faces which look like wood-carved masks, and dark holes instead of eyes.
sylvan traits:
  • Bloodline Magic (2/3). You can take this trait twice; each time you do, you gain access to a new “tier” of spells, as detailed below. Constitution is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
    1. You know the druidcraft cantrip.
    2. Starting at 3rd level, you can cast entangle as a 1st-level spell once per long rest.
  • Damage Resistance (1). You have resistance to poison damage.
  • Darkvision (1). You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
  • Dryad’s Step (3). On your turn, you can use 10 feet of your movement to step into a patch of living vegetation within 5 feet of you and emerge in an unoccupied space within 5 feet of a second patch of living vegetation you can see. Both patches must be large enough for you to comfortably stand in, and the distance between them can be no greater than 60 feet. You can’t use this trait again until you finish a short or long rest.
  • Fey Resilience (2). You have advantage on saving throws you make to avoid or end the charmed condition on yourself.
  • Skulker (2). You can take the Hide action as a bonus action on each of your turns, and you can attempt to hide in foliage even when you are only lightly obscured.
  • Woodland Stride (1). You can move across difficult terrain made of vines, thorns, or other types of vegetation without expending extra movement.
