Colossi of Innis Faigh
Before Ranka united the Ametrian Empire, the Durgol fireforgers of the Lower High Peaks convinced the humans in the area of which is now Innis Faigh in High Cylgna that the Garendak would rise up from under the ground and out of the dark forests and swallow them. Little did the humans know, the Durgol behind this fear mongering was a Voidshaper known as Kazadarak using illusion to pose as a Durgol. With his magics, he convinced the fireforgers and the humans to construct machines of fire and iron to defend against the Garendak when they appear.
Using techniques and magics lost to time 15 great iron constructs were forged and infused with Elan. They towered over men and could crush even the largest boulders with their mighty arms. Kazadarak convinced the people of Innis Faigh to gift these Colossi to various human leaders all around Serrus.
On Kazadarak's cue, he activated the Colossi around Serrus unleashing absolute mayhem and devastation all over Serrus. The Colossi could not be stopped. The magic runes and thick iron protecting them made them seem invincible. A Theurgist who was apprenticed to Kazadarak defected from his master however, and gave three runic stones to the men. These stones, when held and a key word is spoken would shut down the Colossi. After these stones were used, the Colossi fell into lifeless slumber. Kazadarak was slain and all seemed well. The various humans scattered the Colossi all over Serrus and locked them away so they would never again plague Serrus or its people.
Since then, the knowledge of these Colossi also faded with time and the stones lost. In recent years, two have reappeared activated somehow and wander areas around Wetterau and River Haven in the remote areas of the wilderness. No one has found the stones or knows of them, so they continue their slow and mindless destruction until someone can stop them. Scholars who have researched them fear the others might awaken and are quickly seeking methods to destroy them for good and to find the other Colossi as well as the stones.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Colossi stand easily 20 feet tall and are made of solid iron resembling a giant knight. Where the heads would be are ornate iron sculptures in which is a burning forge of Elan. Each Colossi have a different sculpture and are known by name from the sculpture. For example, one of the two currently awakened ravaging River Haven is known as "The Black Lady" after the sculpture of a winged woman, her stomach and womb burning in Elan fire. The other, known as "The Burning Stags" has a head of a group of six ornate bucks their horns interlocked and reaching for the sky, the forge burning in the center of them.
Their hulking limbs carry massive solid iron maces or swords. They swing these slowly, but powerfully.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Colossi do not need to eat, drink, or sleep, and unceasingly wander the land causing chaos.

Average Intelligence
None but simple minded destruction
It was seen outside of town easily. The thing was huge. It groaned and creaked as it walked, iron brushing on iron. We sent a patrol out to stop it, but that was futile. Even the culverin we had on the wall bounced right off. Nothing could be done. We simply fled the town. Who knows where it went, but when we returned to town, the whole area was devastated. Took a whole year to rebuild everything.
