Bizarre Island

There is a place in Orya off the main continent that is inhabited by strange and otherworldly life. Few people have ventured out to this land, and even fewer have made it there. Those that have made it there describe the life there as bizarre and exotic. The land itself is an island far off the coast of the main continent of Orya, and is surrounded by gigantic trees whose trunks and roots extend down to the ocean floor. These trees have bark that is harder than Dwarven Metal, and grow gigantic, multicolored fruits that resemble the design of an Augmoreous. It’s rumored by those that have been to this island that these trees have a role in why the flora and fauna of the island are so strange.   Life on the island is unlike that which could be found anywhere else. Much of the flora grows in weird patterns and under strange conditions. One example of this can be found in a purple plant with long, brown leaves that grows in pools of acidic liquids. Getting near this plant is dangerous, as it will reach out to grab any animal that gets too close and attempt to drag it into the acidic pools that it grows in.   The fauna on the island is also very strange. Creatures come in all shapes and sizes, and each one displays characteristics that aren’t found on the mainland. One example of this can be found in a short creature that is shaped like a long oval, that crawls along the ground. It is black with yellow spots, and these spots light up when the creature feels threatened and causes whatever is distressing it to flip inside out.   The climate of the island is hot and humid, with rain being a common occurrence on the island. Wind storms whirl around the tops of the gigantic trees around the island, and sometimes the fruit plummets to the ground. The center of the island is safe from the fruits, but is home to several dangerous monsters that are seemingly ancient.
