Caerine, Queen of Imas

Overview

Queen Caerine's rule began in the year 6712 PDR.   Queen Caerine was a significant figure in the history of Imas, later known as Osnein. As the daughter of King Caer, she inherited the throne and continued to promote her father's ideals, which emphasized isolation from the old world and the supremacy of the Elven race.

Early Life

Parentage: Daughter of King Caer, Caer, Honorable Servant of Corellon.

Reign

  • Accession to the Throne: Succeeded her father, King Caer, and immediately began reinforcing his policies.
  • Isolationist Policies: Maintained and strengthened Imas' isolation from the old world, focusing on self-sufficiency and internal development.
  • Elven Supremacy: Promoted the notion that Elves were superior to other races, a belief that was deeply ingrained in her governance and policies.

Political Climate

  • Northern Support: Enjoyed strong support from the northern regions of Imas, where her father's and her own policies were popular.
  • Southern Tensions: Faced significant opposition from the southern regions, where there were frequent talks of secession. Despite high tensions, these talks never materialized into actual separation.
  • Civil but Tense Relations: Managed to keep the north and south regions civil, though tensions were always simmering just below the surface.

Major Decrees

  • Capital Establishment: Officially decreed the city of Caer as the capital of Imas, solidifying her father's legacy and the centralization of power in a strong, fortified location.

Legacy

Isolation Continuation: Her reign marked the continuation of Imas' isolationist stance, which had long-term effects on the region's interactions with the outside world. Elven Supremacy Policies: Left a lasting impact on the societal structure of Imas, reinforcing the hierarchical position of Elves over other races. Political Unity and Division: Though she managed to keep the nation united, the underlying divisions and tensions would later play a role in the eventual split of Imas into Seprela and Osnein which was exacerbated by the Spellplague.
