Hrothgar
Thousands of miles of deep gorges, sprawling rivers, and ice laden mountainsides reach in all directions. Cities built into the sides of mountains and some hidden beneath the earth help house the Dwarves and other races that call Hrothgar their home. The capital city of Khazad-Durn is known by many as The Elder Forge. This name was granted during the Dawn War, when Moradin created the forge for mortals to create vast and powerful weapons. He modeled it after his forge in Mount Celestia where he created the Vestiges of the gods.
During the Dawn War, the people of Hrothgar focused their efforts on creating weapons and armor, using their capabilities with crafting to forge memorable items. King Deluth was known for his ability on the forge, crafting legendary weapons for many known fighters during the dawn war. Many of the dwarves that were not crafters did leave for the front lines, defending their border against the monstrosities from the Kal-Munza Dominion.
Following the Dawn War, the forge still burns bright, being used like it was in the creation of powerful weapons and armor. Like they were originally, the dwarves try to remain independent of other nations and the conflicts they are involved in. Still at war with the Kal-Munza Dominion, the dwarves find themselves fighting more than before. Conflict with Morgoth starting also added another border needing protection.
Being an independent nation, the dwarves of Hrothgar do not provide their services free, crafting items for coin and even partnering with trade guilds for sales. The prideful nature of the Dwarves leads them to only forge bonds with those of Dwarven decent.
