Red Flagon
Known for:Red Flagon is an important location for people making their way around Tyrant Cliffs on their way to or from Saint Hira's Sea into Ostelliach's mainland. Red Flagon, Calderan, and Fractured Separates are considered kindred spirits in that all 3 eastern cities are in some way responsible for keeping people alive on the less-hospitable half of the continent, and as such, trade flows freely between the 3. The buildings of Red Flagon are largely built into the stone outcrops and arches of the landscape, using natural red clay deposits found in the area. The stone formations in this area are known for their peculiar shapes, growing into convoluted twists, gravity-defying mesas, and scrambled mixtures of needles, spires, fins, and buttes. Geologists love the area, shaped when Saint Hira's Sea was higher thousands of years ago, before it receded leaving only fossils and the curious rocks Red Flagon now calls home. Red Flagon is also known for several quirky exports, namely:
- Respite and cushy inns
- Unique buildings
- Fossils
- Mineral powder
- Interesting live music
- Training animals as hunting companions
- Specially fermented cuisines
- A series of cuisines buried in their clay to ferment for long periods of time before being jarred and sold
- Hunting animals, especially those trained to ferret out small burrowing game such as rabbits, prairie dogs etc.
- A particular type of ground up powder from different mineral mixes, used in cosmetics, fine detail art, and artificing
