Sending Station

The Sending Station is a post office of sorts, where messages can be received and sent via corresponding pairs of sending stones, as a way of long-distance communication. Each major settlement in Ostelliach has one, and getting linked into the network is a huge milestone for up-and-coming towns.   The cunning artificers who first established these Sending Stations found ways to circumnavigate the once-a-day nature of original sending stones, and for an extra fee sending stones that can transmit more than 25 words are available.   Typically, sending a message is 5 SP, but customers can pay 1 GP for a 1 minute message, all the way up to "enterprise level" communications that can be up to 5 minutes long.
