Saber Tooth Tiger

Saber-toothed tigers, also known as smilodons, are a dire prehistoric species whose existence persists in some places. Despite their name, these creatures are in fact not closely related to tigers and are only distantly related to the more modern feline species of the Realms. These creatures are twice as large as any lion. Their roars are likewise twice as loud as that of any lion. Two large, curved fangs jut out from their mouths, upon which their name is derived. On average these measured around 6 inches in length.
