Commander Farsight

Shas'O Vior'la Shovah Kais Mont'yr, often shortened to O'Shovah, but better known as Commander Farsight is a renegade Fire Caste T'au Commander who founded and still leads the breakaway T'au colony worlds known as the Farsight Enclaves on the far side of Damocles Gulf. After winning glory during the Damocles Crusade by driving back the Imperial forces, he was selected to lead the reconquest of worlds lost during to the Crusade. Embittered by what he saw as a lack of support he ranged further and farther than the Ethereals permitted, ultimately being branded a traitor to the Greater Good and establishing the Farsight Enclaves on the far side of the now-forbidden Damocles Gulf.

Historical Notes

While Farsight is a canonical Warhammer character he is used within this fanon work as an expy for Saladin, the respected - by friend and foe alike - commander of the Muslim forces opposing the Cruaders.
