Personal history
Anna was raised feral by a flock of Axe Beak Terrorbirds. Who her parents are, where she came from, is all lost. She was picked up by a travelling dwarvish caravan who found Anna and a Terrorbird chick hiding amidst the slaughtered remains of the flock. Since then she has been learning the intricacies of society and honing her skills with her sister Amber, the Terrorbird.
Anna's guardians attempted to put her through school but she was denied entry after the school decided she played a little to rough with the other children. Instead, she was home schooled. She learned all about society and the world around her and she became fascinated by it all.
While Anna works as a mercenary in her off time, her main job is currying letters, parcels, and other mail north into the cold regions to villages most horses and carts would have difficulty reaching. She has a little bit of magic up her sleeve, and is able to survive comfortably in terribly cold conditions without proper winter gear. Anna doesn't carry much on her. She wears a glittering spiked silver gauntlet on her left hand, and wields an axe larger than she is. She more or less survives day to day. She makes a little money here and there when she can, but she's more than capable of surviving on her own in the wild, and will happily do so. Anna pays respect to the shrine of The Mother or The Healer she comes across, but does not consider herself religious.
Being raised among Terrorbirds leaves its impressions on you. Anna has done her best to integrate with society but she often misses social cues and can still act overly aggressive, even when showing signs of affection. Ten years of wrestling with Terrorbirds and eating raw meat has left Anna with muscles for days, however if she's not flexing you might mistake her to be overweight. Anna's casual walk is unmistakably birdlike. She often pauses slightly between each step and always steps gently. Anna is very tactile, and very strong, and without thinking will often grab and shove people around or hit them a little harder than her intended emphasis. Anna has a Terrorbird companion named Amber who she considers to be her sister.
Anna follows a strict code and is devoted to protecting the natural world, especially animals. She will not hunt animals for sport, or engage in any hunt that is not purely for the protection of something or for survival. In general, she just wants to be left alone to spend time with Amber and do what she wants. Anna loves to be out in the wilderness on her own with Amber, and she hates crowds and has little patience. She's very bad at judging when she's outnumbered. She is more comfortable on hard natural ground than a soft man made bed. It's nearly impossible for Anna to keep herself from speaking up about her beliefs and opinions even when she knows it will get her in trouble.
