Ariships

Skiff
The smallest class of Airship, these relatively tiny and lightweight vessels are only a little bigger than a car and can hold a maximum of four people. Skiff's require only one pilot and can become very cramped at full capacity. Due to their lightweight nature Skiffs are often used as personal travel craft for elite citizens, and scouting craft in military use.

Barge
The next size Airship up from the Skiff, Barges are slow moving but capable of carrying large amounts of weight while still only needing to be controlled by a single pilot. Barges are most often used for long haul transportation of goods from city to city and don't see much military usage.

Jumper
Jumpers are used most often for efficient, long distance travel. Their speed to size ratio is unmatched among the other ships, though their limited occupant capacity makes them less than ideal monetarily for common folk and are mostly chartered by the wealthy. Jumpers are the most common military ship in use due to their speed and manoeuvrability.

Air Bus
The Air Bus Airship is the common flying travel vehicle. With its high occupancy it can be chartered for flights relatively cheaply, bringing its occupants all across Ovenica. The Military will occasionally use A.B.As that are stripped of most of their interior luxuries for transporting vehicles.

Entertainer
The Entertainer is named as such for its heavy use as luxury cruise vessels and one or two that are designed as flying casinos. There are not many that have been made at the moment, and only one that is owned privately as opposed to being used for business purposes. No military currently own any.

Flying Fortress
The largest Airship class, only one has ever been built and currently patrols the border of Prathia  and Cuswar as a deterrent and show of force. It is owned by the Cuswar military.

Power Generation

Airships, like most technology in Ovenica use Vertim to power their engines.

Propulsion

Airships generally use jets at the rear and/or underside of the vessel to propel themselves into the air. Most Airships (especially the smaller varieties) glide more often than not, using their jets for short bursts of speed or adjusting direction.

Weapons & Armament

While not designed with weapons in mind, most Airships are able to support lightweight firearms and weapons mounted on the side or within. Certainly many have been modified to house weapons, and this is especially true for Airships used in Evosos due to the inherent dangers of The Shattered Lands.

Armor and defense

Airships are designed to be lightweight, and as such are mostly built for speed. However, with the help of lumber from the Black Fog Timberland, it has become significantly easier to make lightweight, well armoured Airships (though the cost generally doubles in price for such materials due to the heavy export fees of Prathia.

Communication Tools & Systems

Most Airships come equipped with a magical general communication device which is able to connect to similar devices within about five kilometers of it. The operators of these M.G.C.Ds can speak to one another clearly across this distance and by law in most places it is required to do fifteen checks to make sure they're not sharing airspace with someone they can't see.
