Personal history

Born only a few short years after the gods war, Bem saw personally the aftereffects of the war. However Bem had a curious mind and, wanting to learn of the history of the land, set off on his own before he even came of age.
He met up with a elven wizard who taught him spells and magic. Bem caught on quickly and within a few short years discovered his aptitude for magic. He spent his life in the company of a small group of adventurers. With the world so young there were so many things to be seen. He spoke with dragons, dined with vampires and even, it is to be believed, discovered the location of the slumbering terrasque. He kept notes on all his adventures, writing down every minute detail. He filled many journals, all of which are missing, or destroyed.

In the end he vanished, and is assumed dead at this point, though no one knows for sure. The pages of his journals are prized among scholars, religious leaders, and adventurers alike, and finding one could mean a valuble treasure, a hoard of treasure, or a knife in your back.
