Harbor Selkie

Among the Selkie tribes, the Harbor selkie typically live closer to other civilizations, cooperating with them from a friendly but enforced distance. As such, they're far more sociable and are often hired as navigators or guides. These selkies are also more commonly found in southern waters, where the sea is warmer.

Gull's Shanty. You may use your reaction to sing a verse of Selkie music to distract your foes. When you see an enemy within 30 feet of you making an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, you may use your reaction to subtract 1d4 from the result. You may use this feature once per short or long rest.
Your Gull's Shanty die increases to 1d6 at level 5, 1d8 at level 10, and 1d10 at level 15.
