Vehicles and Transportation
Airships
Widely available and near instantaneous transportation has allowed for the greatest minds to come together to create wonders never before seen. Ovenica has entered a veritable golden age of invention and creativity. When it became obvious that anyone being able to teleport anywhere was an incredibly dangerous technology, restrictions were put in place to regulate public use. Quickly it became too expensive for traders and merchants to send their goods through the teleporters and they needed some new method that was fast and cheap. Up until that point. Most airships that had been invented were small vessels, designed for short jaunts and leisure. Everything changed when Kennault Dagur revealed his latest built project: a large skyship designed for long haul cargo trips. Within a few years, dozens of ships were built and it is now a common sight to look up and see a skyship sailing through the clouds.
Cars and Motorcycles
Cars are still fairly uncommon within Ovenica, especially in larger old cities. The streets are too narrow and simply not built for such vehicles. In farmland however, and newer settlements, cars are seen more often. Their use for taking goods back and forth between homesteads and towns with little effort can make a huge difference for farmers that can afford it. In addition, using them to plow fields allows for a shorter time before being able to plant crops. Motorcycles on the other hand are commonplace, in places people can afford them. In larger cities especially the roads are filled with people zipping back and forth. For both general transportation as well as leisure rides through the countryside, the two (or sometimes three) wheeled vehicles are a staple of Ovenican road ways.
Trains
With the regulation of public teleportation and the often large expense of flying in an airship, the vast majority of the Ovenican population tends to ride trains if they’re traveling across the country. Extensive railways have been built to all major Ovenican cities and they pass through many small towns. If the need arose, one could hop on a train in Harwood and take it all the way across to Kurleigh or even Bacre Keep if they wanted to.
Flying Islands
With magic saturation every rock and tree, strange things have begun to happen. Among the most interesting is the emergence of flying chunks of land. In some cases, rocks and boulders would simply lift into the air, while at other times whole swathes of land separated from the earth to float above it. The most memorable of this is the castle that now sits at the center of the city of Freedom, but there are also several flying islands that were enchanted and created in successful attempts to replicate this natural phenomenon.
Animals
With the now commonplace nature of Dinosaurs, the animals have turned out to be remarkably suited to humanoid companionship. One of their biggest uses is as mounts. Theropods are fast, and can race along at incredible speeds, especially over short distances. A sauropod's massive bulk and strength is great for carrying goods and people through terrain that trains and other ground vehicles might have trouble with. Pterosaurs like Pteranodon, Tropeognathus, and Quetzocoatlus attract adrenaline junkies who enjoy the rush of racing through the skies. The biggest advantage, potentially, is that the highly trainable animals can also prove dangerous and are a great buffer against any bandits or equally dangerous creatures one might meet on the road.
