The world contains many magical and scientific relics of bygone eras. The ones powerful enough to survive or be cared for to the present moment are quite extraordinary, and none of them should be underestimated. There are some, however, that have Implications, beyond what they are capable of.
The Horn of Mezkeni is an instrument infused with magic. It looks like a simple trumpet, about 18 inches long, and has no visible keys. When played, it produces a light effect around itself that the player may then use to manipulate the sound to a precise degree. However, the real mechanism of the sound is mental.
The Horn's most obvious ability is that it can sound like anything. This is mostly used to apply to instruments, but can mean any variety of sound effects and even voices. As such, it is the only thing that can generate the particular sound that will start the Chemnos apocalypse.
