Rashigarius

Rashigarius is one of the better known magicians of history. As a point of comparison, he is considered the equivalent of the Earth scientist Isaac Newton, mostly because they were both responsible for writing logical laws that attempt to explain the way the universe behaves. Rashigarius believed that magic, at least as it stands in the Overlord world, is a natural extension of technology, and worked for his whole life to remove superstition and supernatural references in the craft. Oddly, he spent his free time writing books on the subject of ornithology, or birds, because he thought they were a perfect example of his theory, since their capabilities of flight seemed magical to early scientists.
He is often quoted as saying, “Magic is simply any process that we cannot yet perform with technology.”
