Tri-Annual Berniton Cannibal Hunt

Being next to the Forest of Pain, Berniton is continually annoyed by the things that live there. This includes Demon Elves, headhunters, vicious flora and fauna of a wide variety, and cannibals.
Of these things, the cannibals are the only ones whose nuisance is unchecked. Therefore, the concept of the Cannibal Hunt was born.
Originally it was meant to be an annual thing, but as Maraphel as a country is traditionally aligned to Good, this was deemed severe by politicians in the capital. After some amount of negotiation and backroom deals, the people of Berniton were finally permitted to have a hunt every three years.
This is one of the few times of year in which the townsfolk will band together with the headhunters and assault the cannibals. Not to eradication because there is something to be said for their contribution to the ambiance. But they do make a great effort to take down the numbers.
