What do you do when everything is lost? When you have nothing but the barest tools to create a world and restart a broken system? What do you do when, no matter what you do, the world you make is doomed to die?   If you're Aurthur Captor, you make it work. Yeah, this world is screwed - but something good can still come out of it. Something good HAS to come out of it.   Ask the residents, and they'll look at you funny and tell you Overre is a planet, with a multitude of continents and nation-states. However, the story only ever touches one continent, and speaking truthfully, nothing exists beyond it except endless, vague creative mists - just enough of it to allow for the continental hallucination that they're not totally alone.   By Overre's apocalypse, its residents had mastered the combination of semi-futuristic technology and ancient, primordial magic, using both extensively in daily life. But that end has always been coming - and various powers have always been duking it out to make it come sooner or later.
