Cliffstald
Cliffstald is a wild region with only two large cities, Thornbarrow and Cliflam. The rest of the region has small villages but is mainly farmland, fields of wheat and crops, next to cattle pastures. A lot of the ground was broken by carving rivers throughout the eastern region. The region itself is picturesque, especially around Cliflam, the large snow-peaked mountains to the West reflecting in the calm waters of Cliflams Reservoir.
Thornbarrow
The region's coastal city, lacking a traditional port town, Thornbarrow sees most of the imports and exports for the region, whilst also seeing quite a few traders coming down from the Bazyak desert to the north. The city itself isn't overly large or rich, but most of the buildings are a dark grey with marbled light grey stone, mined from the Bellowing Slopes, slated roofs, any wood that is around in floors, decks, or posts are a middling brown colour. It is a city still developing magic, the light posts around the city with simple enchantments to produce light at night, being the most advanced magic used by the city itself, far different to the magical powerhouses of the Aether Twins or Silvergrave. Named Thornbarrow for the multitude of roses throughout the city and the outskirts, the flowers sprouting up wherever they can find root, the thorns on these flowers being hell for anyone who steps off the roads. The flowers themselves are a multitude of different colours, the normal pink, red, white, but also more exotic colours, blues, purples, deep oranges.Cliflam
The city of Cliflam sits on the shore of a large lake, backing against the Bellowing Slopes, the cities small shore is filled with fishing boats that fish the freshwaters of the reservoir, some slightly larger boats take the river connecting taking them down to Thornbarrow and out to sea for saltwater fishing. The city itself is made from a similar light and dark grey marbled stone, the city itself has the occasional dusting of snow coming from the high peaks of the mountains westward, creating a beautiful view of the city when approaching from the lake or along the main road.
