Motivation

Ivir's main goal is to record the history's other's would ignore, and at present that involves the stories around the Crew of The Claymore. Ivir strives to record the tales of thier adventures as accurately as possible, but has been known to take some creative license around some stories; adjusting timelines or giving people witty oneliners after a fight - attempting to make the stories informative as well as entertaining. 
He uses the money gained from his book sales to form a little nest egg for his retirement, using the money not given back to the Claymore for using their stories, or allowing him to live a somewhat indulgent life.

Ivir is a well read and knowledgable man, he grew up learning Erendocian and Aquan, the two common languages of Kingdom of Oc'ian and The Gulf of Derrock. After graduating from school in Oc'ian a young Ivir wanted to learn more and see more, and on his travels picked up Abysal, Rularian, and Sylvan to an almost fluent level. He can speak and understand Elven, Draconic, Auran, Giant, Orcish and Undercommon to a decent enough level to act as the crews translator.
