The Great Glass Scar
Summary
During the tail end months of 183 BDR, the citizens of Oasis were awoken in the early hours of the morning to a earthquaking storm of fire and meteorites descending from the sky onto a region just outside the city. The truth of the situation hidden by the leaders of Oasis and the Aradiel School of Wizardry and Sorcery.
The storm of fire was the birth of a new great Dragon God, the meteoroids his heraldy of his arrival. This new God is called Gravonia, God of the Skys and Stars. The Dragon citizens of Oasis claiming this idea to be true due to the new constellation in the sky, making up the shape of a star that would be Gravonia's holy symbol. The tale of Gravonia spread around Erendoc, and soon even the Minotaurs of the Moonlit tops heard talk of the story, looking to the moon and stars themselves, known as the foremost experts on the stars, skies and heavens. And they concurred, this new constellation was proof of the new Gods presence in the sky.
Historical Basis
The true historical account of the Great Glass Scar was the final conflict in a war thought to have ended millenia prior, between the leader of the Dark Star Rebellion Astaroth and the avatar of Death, Alexander the Black Wyrm. The two ancient warriors settling their conflict with Astaroth falling to Alexander's scythe and storms, creating an intense heat and flame scorching the desert sands into an eternal glass standing as testiment to his triumph and Astaroths defeat.
Spread
The spread of this urban legend, expanded outside of Oasis, and soon all of Erendoc believed this story to be the truth of the situation. Gravonia gaining a small following of loyal followers, espically those who practice Graviturgy magic.
