Theme: Decay
Assignment 1
Consider what kind of changes(decay) would fit in with your world's themes, genre, and other foundational points.
Part of the world lore so far is that during the Undoing the
Sun Elves came to be under attack by a fiend that would come to be known as the citrevix. Citrevixes are a kind of fiend that consume aether when it is being drawn up for magic though they are unable to tamper with the Shroud. This led to the decay of the sun elves magical ability and some of the older sun elves still discuss in hushed whispers about the possible return of the citrevixes. I think I want to create a kind of walking form of decay as one of the disasters in the Undoing and maybe have it affect the
Eventide Elves. I also need a disaster to strike the dwarves during the Undoing, maybe something akin to the Dragon Sickness from the Hobbit/LotR.
Assignment 2
If you like special tea when you write, stock up for a month. Tidy your office, make a “do not disturb” sign, and think about any other last-minute strategies to optimize your writing space and time!
No tea for me! But I'll definitely stock up on cocoa. I share an office space with my partner so I'll spend my time writing in our shared bedroom instead probably. I'll see about getting a box or something to set my cocoa on so I can be comfy and reach my tasty drink.
