Port Nebula
The orbital city of Port Nebula is a self-governing trade port acting as the primary stop for adventurers traveling through Oxum's system.
It is mostly known for it's advanced dockyards for space-capable ships, barges and yachts as well as it's large population of mercenaries-for-hire. It is also the refuge of most surviving Oxian Orcs who survived the extermination of their race back on Oxum.
Most of it's population is made up from galactic travellers and spaceborn species such as the Giff, who oversee everything regarding the city's security, laws and infrastructure.

Demographics
Most of Port Nebula's demographic is made up from the space-faring race called the Giff who settled the asteroid after taking interest in forming trade routes with planet Oxum. They make up the bulk of the city's garrison, dockworkers and administrative staff.
Besides the Giff, Githyanki are the second most-common species found roaming the streets of Port Nebula. As inhabitants of the outer planes and beyond, the Gith choose to either make the port their home or set up shop in one of many small stores selling their goods and services to all who gold to spare.
Orcs make up the last large chunk of the demographic. The orcs of Port Nebula come from the last remaining bloodlines who escaped the genocide of their species following the War of Superiority. Their ancestors managed to hitch a ride with the many Gith and Giff who were gathering resources to build up the fledgling city of Nebula, becoming a core part of the city's population. The orcs still feel bitter towards the residents of Oxum, especially humans, who led the genocidal crusade against them. They now use this inner hatred to earn their keep as guards and mercenaries for the highest bidder, and are among the most sought-after sellswords in the city.

Government
Port Nebula is overseen by the Giff Admiralty, who oversee everything related to the city's government. The Admiral stands at the top of the chain of command, having the final say on all major decisions and which officer gets assigned to which office.
Each department has their own leader who oversees the funding and development of related projects, such as a Chief Harbourmaster who controls funding regarding the dockyards or the Port Population Officer who oversees everything related to public infrastructure.

Infrastructure
Port Nebula is significantly more technological compared to even the most advanced cities on Oxum. Fuelled by interstellar trade and an influx of alien technology, Port Nebula is a sprawling, neon-lit city that lures in traders from worlds far, far away.
Using many foreign and exotic materials, Port Nebula is supplied with a magical form of electricity, generated by powerplants utilising charged crystals mined from asteroids or back on Oxum. Especially Wild Magic Crystals found in the Realm of Monsters make for extremely efficient sources of power. These plants supply the city with energy to light street lights, cranes, elevators and other machinery that would require vast steam engines or manpower to operate back on Oxum.
The main feature of the city is the drydocks in the north section of the city. Equipped with specialized machinery and infrastructure, Port Nebula is able to house almost every type of interstellar ship for both maintenance and construction. It is therefor a popular stop for ship-merchants to display and sell their vessels, or to set up shop and make a living maintaining passing ships.

Districts
Port Nebula is divided into several districts, each with their own specializations. The outside of the asteroid is mostly reserved for dockyards, warehouses and trading posts while the inner sections are more catered towards residential and commercial establishments. The very center of the city houses the Admiral's Spire which acts as the hub for all political affairs.
Several Taverns, Inns and supply stores can be found here, such as George's Bar & Inn, a popular retreat for travelling mercenaries, merchants and pilgrims. Several weapon smiths like Bernard's Blasters have set up shop here as well, providing relatively high-tech weapons to those who need them.
Privateer's Pontoon (South Docks)
The south section of the asteroid (As seen from a top-down perspective) houses a set of smaller docks for lighter vessels to moor at. This district is called the Privateer's Pontoon due to it's high population of mercenaries, privateers and smugglers who dock their smaller and more nimble vessels here instead of the larger, more patrolled docks in the north.Several Taverns, Inns and supply stores can be found here, such as George's Bar & Inn, a popular retreat for travelling mercenaries, merchants and pilgrims. Mercshire (East District)
Merschire, or simply Mercs, is the go-to place if you're looking to hire professional and discrete guns-for-hire. Mercenaries and bodyguards gather in taverns and bars waiting for clients to approach them with a new job, which includes the local Admiralty. Most mercenaries consist of Gith and Orcs, laden with the best kit coin can buy in Port Nebula. Many mercenaries even opt to replace their limbs with augmented, artificial versions made from flexible yet durable exotic materials imported from worlds far far away. This combination of high-tech gear and enhanced abilities make the local mercenaries very desirable and a great source of income for the local government, who collects a nice sum of gold per job in the form of a Mercenary tax. You can always try to evade those taxes and take jobs as an unregulated Mercenary, but you'll never know what kind of jobs you'll get yourself into.Admiral's District (Central Ring)
The very center of Port Nebula is the Admiral's District. Known for the tall Admiral's Spire bridging the port with the asteroid's twin above, this district houses the higher-end stores, inns and hiring agencies for those who don't mind spending an extra penny for added quality. Most of the city's main (regulated) guilds are located around this central region, such as the Stellar Exploration Guild and the Privateer's Club. This region also houses the central station of Port Nebula's Sub-Asteroid Transportation System which branches out towards every major district in the city for ease of access.Shining Bright's (Western Residential District)
The gloomy neon district of Shining Bright's is where your average Nebula resident makes their home. Populated with a myriad of supply stores and tall residential buildings, it has everything a space-faring scoundrel needs to settle down with a tolerable amount of crime. Buildings are built high rather than wide here, making full use of the lack of gravity once you get far enough from the asteroid's surface.Geography
The port is built on a flattened asteroid inside of a wider asteroid field. The city is covered by a second asteroid that is permanently suspended above the city's, acting as both a shield against other space rocks and the city's main supply of water. the second rock's core is made of pure ice, slowly melting and raining down onto the city in a constant, light drizzle. This water is gathered and used as drinking water and for the city's plumbing.
Natural Resources
Most of the local resources have already been stripped from the asteroids as part of the construction efforts of the city. Besides the ice is the upper rock and some small veins of metals found in surrounding asteroids, most of the city's resource flow originated from trade routes and mining expeditions to other large asteroids floating around in the Oxum system.
