IVth Flower Legion Barracks
Barracks constructed for the IVth Flower Legion - a relatively new Legion, after the dissolution of the previous IVth, designed outside the regular command structure, for troublesome adventurer types recruited into the Legions for Kingdom-sponsored work. Near the Southern Frontier, the IVth Legion is responsible for more specialized operations than the regular Legions - essentially, Adventuring, but regulated and giving the adventurers a place to report in officially, and a way to keep eyes on them.
Purpose / Function
Player housing. Party meeting place. Downtime center. Place to report in with superiors. Central hub when not in main cities. Place to receive quests.
Design
A plot of land around 135 ft by 100 ft, with a stone building, built partially into the ground. Built originally to be defensible and utilitarian.
Entries
The front entryway is at the end of a dirt path off the main road.
Sensory & Appearance
The outside appearance belies the rather cozy atmosphere inside, lit by braziers and candles at night, carpeted in the main living areas, and, while a little darker inside due to the lack of large windows, it doesn't look anywhere near as imposing as other Legion bases.
Denizens
Legionaries and Officers are occasionally posted here to support the adventurer groups currently signed on with the IVth.
Contents & Furnishings
Rugs. Braziers. Piano. Tables. Kitchen. Training dummies. Fighting arena. Storage for weapons and armor. Beds. Baths. Washrooms.
Alterations
Previously, the building used to be a rather no-nonsense stone affair. It has since been prettied up a little and made more comfortable - some funding from previous adventurer parties has been applied to comfort, after securing approval.
Architecture
Stone. Squat, featureless, military.
History
Originally a base for Legion operations it was not meant so much to be lived in but to house arms and armor and be a point to set out from towards the frontier. Has seens been transformed into a base for the IVth Flower Legion.
