Introduction

The world of Pakali-Pakamuut is a primitive-fantasy role-playing setting that focuses on exploration, survival, the discovery of magic and the evolution of kukai civilization. Though there is no specific role play system meant for this world (yet), it is recommended to use one that is not entirely focused on combat.
The kukai are the equivalent of humans in this world. They live in the seven villages of Kukai Amut, a small region within a mostly untamed island. Pakali-Pakamuut and the kukai culture are based of a mix between mesoamerican and other ancient civilizations; Aztec (Mexica), Maya, Greek, Japanese, etc.
In this setting, adventurers from other worlds (mostly humans from earth) are summoned by a divine entity to take part in this peaceful world. Adventurers may decide to explore the wild regions of the island, reveal the secrets of early magic or help the natives with their own affairs.
The kukai embrace their traditions even when progress is imminent. Most of the world remains wild and unexplored. Prime spirits, their relics and their magical powers are yet a mystery. It is up to you to decide which path to take in this utopia and prove your worth.

The call to a new world

When a player character joins Pakali-Pakamuut for the first time, any magical or non-natural skills will be lost. There are no limits to the worlds that you can summon your player characters from. You may think of Pakali-Pakamuut as a kind of "crossover world" in that regard. However, because of the nature of this new world and its natural laws, it is impossible to bring any characters of evil alignment, as explained in the Blessing of Kukai Amut article.
The following is the default introduction for new player characters, though it may vary depending on each character background:

A voice in your head is calling you, echoing with every heartbeat and every breath that leaves your body; a divine entity with no name. Its words reveal to you a dark vision of the future, your future. The flow of time stops around you leaving nothing but an offering from this entity.
Be it for your honorable deeds or the good within yourself, you have been summoned to be part of a new world, a second chance to start anew. As you accept from your heart, everything you leave behind becomes a memory, the last treasure of your past life.
An utopia awaits, will you be worthy of it?
