Casu Martzu ("Putrid Cheese")

Casu Martzu, is a kind of cheese that is popular with followers of He-That-Walks-Beyond-The-Wall, the Prince in Saffron. The name, which comes from the Aklo phrase for "putrid cheese", refers to the fact that it is prepared and eaten with live insect larva trapped within it. The digestion process of the little maggots is said to make the cheese creamier, and some of those that eat it believe it to be an aphrodisiac.
