Maliketch Convection

The Maliketch Convection is the Torrent of Fire that the Calendar of East Star is based on. It follows the same shape as the Moonpath on the Material plane. This imprint of the moonpath is said to be a reminder that death has providence even upon the elemental planes. The Maliketch Convection was named after Maliketch, the noble Efreeti that discovered it.

East Star Calendar

The Calendar of East Star is split into two Eras: Maliketch Bright followed by Maliketch Dimmed. The crossover date, when Maliketch Bright became Maliketch Dimmed is the date that the Torrent's discoverer, Maliketch burned himself out.
