Orchid
Orchids are the sacred plant of the Rich Man, valued for their exquisite and rare beauty. These exotic flowers can be grown in Palimpsest's botanical gardens, on levels high enough to receive enough natural light, or imported from the Plane of Earth, making them a symbol of wealth and extravagance. They are often used as decorative elements in the homes of the nobility and can be found adorning the clothing of the wealthy.
In addition to their ornamental value, orchids also have a practical use in the creation of perfumes, which are highly valued among the nobility, and they are sometimes used as a food flavouring, particularly among followers of the Rich Man. Out of a thematic obligation, the noble Dargent family eats orchid-flavoured sorbet at the end of their evening meals, which none of them particularly enjoys.
