Stewards of the World
During their reign, two of the Usurpers, Turbal's older brother and sister, Citiss and Sezend, had three children. As a reward for remaining loyal to Turbal, he granted the three children authority over aspects of the physical realm; the sea, land and sky. These three became known as the 'Stewards of the World' and ensured that the natural processes of the world continued as expected, and did not interfere with the Usurpers lives.
During the Inheritance war, Yaltur convinced the Three to switch sides, and their control of the natural elements gave the Inheritors a much needed boost to their campaign. After the war was won, Yaltur kept the three siblings in their position, and they joined the ranks of the Inheritors, although sat apart from the rest in their own unique and powerful way.
Today, the best known of the gods is Dicac, the goddess of the sea, who joined with Blessed Hikis' brother, Sanul, to birth Leris, the Stormlord. Leris and Tanab of the sky are often invoked prior to any substantial journey in the Empire, along with Dicac if the journey involves passage by ship. Mesoh is not invoked as often, mainly by those who live and work in the mountains, or mine and quarry, and call up him for favour when prospecting.
