Volume 1: Creation of the Cosmos
1- In the beginning their was nothing. The void was vast and empty. From within the void came darkness and the celestial sea, one laying atop the other.
2- From their union came the cow, and she floated along the sea in peace and tranquility. But the darkness did not like the cow and sent serpents to pester her.
3- To evade the serpents, the cow dove beneath the sea, and they could not follow.
4- On one such dive, she touched the bottom. And when she came up she saw that a piece of the sea floor was in her hoof. She removed the mud and flung it out, and it sat atop the sea, floating.
5- This mud floated there, growing larger with time, it served as a refuge for the cow as it traveled the boundless sea. Until the cow was found again, and became exhausted with her fight against the serpents.
6- Upon the land, the cow dug a whole to hide from the serpents. And she buried herself for all time. From within her sleeping form a mighty tree sprang forth.
7- As this tree grew, it’s roots spread throughout the land and anchored it in one place. And the tree grew tall, it’s branches stretching out and holding up the night sky. Forever separating it from the sea.
8- And the fruit of the tree bore new life.
Volume 2: The Birth of the Gods
1- From the vast darkness, light is born to illuminate the celestial sea. And from within the light, beings of good are formed. Prexetiel and Heciel, the first Angim. And they are nourished by the light. As time passes, more beings are born, both good and evil. And there comes a point when evil is too great and the pure ones seek a respite.
2- Soon after, Heciel allows Prexetiel to sacrifice him, so that a new world could be born of good. His flesh is made into the earth, his bones make the stone of mountains, his hair becomes the forest, his blood spills forth and fills the earthbound seas, his right eye becomes the sun, and the left becomes the moon, his brains spread across the sky as clouds, and his head becomes the vault of the heavens. And his dying breath joins the four winds.
3- Then the light is brought to shine on the land, that life could be born into the world. Prexetiel descends to this new world, and all who are good are welcome.
Volume 3: Man Takes Form
1- From the land, Prexetiel takes up the earth in his hands and forms it into the shape of a man and a woman. Then, with a life giving breath, he speaks their names and they are born into the world. The man and woman are set to honor and serve the Angim. Then, using a sacred ritual, Prexetiel uses his own form to create new life. Thus are born the classes of men.
2- Kab Rael is born to rule, Luz Fael is born to keep the ritual secrets, and Mik Hael is born to defend. With man and woman serving them all.
Volume 4: Slayer
1- The enemy of light, Firfsu, steals away the cattle of life. With out which all will surely die.
2- Graxiel is chosen to fight the darkness, and he seeks strength from the storm, making a ritual sacrifice. This pleases the storm and its power joins with him on his quest.
3- He takes up his bow and fletches arrows with the lightnings. He takes his mace and with it come the four great winds. With the winds he fashions seven lesser winds such as the whirl wind and tornado. He takes up his binding net and fills it with flame. And lastly, the mightiest of his weapons, the flooding rain.
4- With the power of the storm, Graxiel comes upon the home of the the enemy. Before him is a field with a winding river coming from a cave. The cattle stand grazing and drinking from the river.
5- Sneaking amongst the cattle, Graxiel makes it to the entrance of the cave, where he sees the three headed serpent queen of chaos, Firfsu, and challenges her to single combat.
6- With the net of flames he binds her. Then bombarding her with the lesser winds, the greater, forces open her gullet. The flooding rains fill her to bursting. And with a single well aimed shot, a bolt of lightning strikes down her throat and thunders in her belly, splitting her in two.
7- Then he turns to Fivinsos, commanding her forces, and bearing the Fruit of Life, wrongfully possessed. With his might, he wrestles away the fruit and defeats Fivinsos. The army scattering and fleeing before him as the flood waters rise.
8- Fruit in hand he returns home with the cattle, and he is hailed as the first and greatest warrior.
Volume 5: Deluge
1- In the days since the light was taken from the land, food was growing scarce. The hunter, Graxiel, went forth into the darkness to regain that which was taken. He warned of the coming storm, that the rains would not cease. His brother Heciel, who stayed behind, took it upon himself to build an ark.
2- He set out to fill the ark with all who would follow. And with them they brought many animals for food and sacrifice.
3- Soon the rains came, and for nine days their torrent was unending. The ground was being swallowed by the rising tide.
4- Until, on the ninth day, from the distance came a wave of serpents. Pursuing them, a tidal wave as high as the sky, came and washed them all away. Only those who were secured on the ark were safe from the torrent.
5- The wave carried the ark out upon the sea, and there was no land within sight. So Heciel let out a raven to fly and seek new lands. But day upon day, the raven flew in circles and returned to the deck.
6- On the seventh day, a dove was released into flight. It flew straight and returned that night with a twig. And in that direction, they sailed.
7- For three days they sailed against the winds and came to the heart of the storm. And here, land formed, that they may settle anew. Protected by the four winds.
Volume 6: The Dying God
1- Luz Fael and Kab Rael fall in love with the same woman, the mother of all, Mistress of the Earth, Stuhumena. She bares them each a son, but ultimately chooses Kab Rael to wed.
2- In his jealousy, Luz Fael uses a ritual to discover his brother's weakness, for he is known to be invulnerable to harm. Using this knowledge, he fells his brother with a weapon of mistletoe. He then dismembers the body and throws the pieces in the river.
3- Erasteus, son of Kab Rael, journeys to find all the pieces, that he may revive his father before his life is extinguished. He finds all but his right eye.
4- And together they seek allies to aid in the battle against Luz Fael and his son Tragonus. Mik Hael and his sons, Amalius and Cateus, join in this endeavor.
5- Together they imprison Tragonus in Vosculhu and bind Luz Fael to three relics, spreading them across the world, dividing his essence in three with them.
6- In these battles Mik Hael is slain leaving Amalius to inherit his power, Cateus loses a hand to Tragonus, and Erasteus suffers injury to his leg leaving him lame.
7- Kab Rael must then return to the underworld, for his form can no longer be sustained.
8- Before he goes, he fathers twin daughters with Stuhumena, Fidana and Cimria. When they grow old enough Fidana weds Cateus and bares him a daughter, Hiunia. And Cimria weds Amalius, baring him a daughter, Fimustia.
9- Erasteus gathers the remaining Angim and retires to the Illuminated City of Cirvaedheim, to take a more observational role, leaving the physical world in the hands of the Lares.
Volume 7: Underworld Retrieval
1- Crutien, the hunter, having lost his wife to the grave, is distraught and being consumed by grief. In desperation he seeks the Lady of Death.
2- With the blood of a fresh sacrifice, at midnight in the crossroads, he calls to her.
3- Answered by savage barking and howling under the light of the full moon, dark shapes begin to take form from the shadows. Glowing red eyes stare at him from above a maw of glistening white teeth.
4- He calls out to the darkness and begs an audience. After the third call, a young form steps forth from the shadow, vibrant and full of life. Mesmerized by her beauty, the man is compelled to speak and tells her his deepest desire. She agrees to allow him the attempt.
5- From the earth, ropes sprout like vines and wrap around Crutiens neck, dragging him down. The hounds snatch the breath of life from him as he screams. The Lady promises he can have it back upon his return.
6- She turns to leave him, revealing a body of rot and decay, crawling with worms and serpents. It is the last sight the man sees as the hounds guide him down on the path to the underworld.
7- Arriving on the banks of the river of life and death, Crutien sees a long line of the dead waiting on their turn to cross safely. He is led to a bearded old man upon a boat, and the hounds pay a silver coin to the boatman. Thus purchasing his passage, and they embark as the sun rises.
8- Upon the boat, Crutien reaches for the water of the river, but is stopped by the growls of the hound. He looks over the edge to see the wailing souls of those who could not afford the fare. They swim in the tumultuous currents of despair.
9- On the other side, he is led to a field of plenty. The warm air and floral scents beckon him to a hall of grandeur.
10- Within the hall is a great assembly surrounding a throne. Upon the throne sits the Lady of Death, Cauceutiela, in all her beauty. Beside her stands a veiled figure, his wife.
11- Death tells him that his wife is ready to go, but he cannot see her face until they are back to the living world. He promises to not look upon her until it is time.
12- With no guide to show the way, it takes three days to arrive at the riverbank, but the boat will not arrive until the morning.
13- That night, as his wife sleeps, Crutien is wrought with concern. How does he know this is his wife, and if it is, is she a rotting corpse like Death?
14- As his wife stirs, he looks under her veil to see the beautiful woman he remembers. With a start she wakes in time to see what he has done before fading away into the darkness.
