Orcish highland games

Every year the Orcish clans gather at orcish capital to participate in a 3 day event of games, competition and celebration of adulthood. Games and events of all kinds take place to see who is the best. It is a time to unwind and blow off steam after the long cold winter, a time for the young orcs reaching adulthood to undergo their coming of age tests and a time for feasting and reforging of ties.

Execution

Clans arrive at Orc capital on the day before the festivities begin, camping outside the city walls. On this first night clans with the closest ties to each other will dine together, reforging ties and rekindling friendships after the long winter of separation.

Bright and early the following morning the games begin to the sound of horns. This first day is set aside for more leisurely traditional games and craftsmanship. During the evening, the notable groups amongst the clans meet together to dine and talk. Everyone else mingles amongst the various clan campsites sharing, drink food and stories. Music will also played.

The second day is dedicated to events revolving around strength and skill. There is much honour to be won in these events. That evening the clan leaders hold a dinner for the winners of the days events. The snotlings also dine together, and are given a last run through of the following days events.

The final day is set aside for the coming of age rites for the snotlings. A series of tests to determine an Orc's basic skill set. The Orc Societies will approach the particularly skilled snotlings (now adults) with offers to join their ranks. On this final night a great feast is held, the snotlings are welcomed into their clans as adults, and a champion of the festival chosen. Great feasting and merriment ensues
