Sonnik Daye

Reverend Sonnik Daye is the leader of the Dahlia Agnus Congregation (DAC). He resides in Meridian and leads the Meridian sector.
The Reverend preaches for compassion and peace amongst his people. However, he actually uses his charms and abilities to manipulate people to follow his rule and do his bidding.
Overall, the DAC believes they need to convince more people to join the congregation and worship The Maker (see DAC article for more details).
Born a child of the Outlanders, suffering from a case of phocomelia (only the arms), Sonnik Daye grew up mostly in poverty. In his youth, living with a disability, thus making it difficult for him to work, he moved to Meridian as it posed a higher chance for him to be able to beg for more money (with many Inlanders also living there). In Meridian, while homeless, he meets an older DAC reverend who takes pity on him and takes Daye under his wing as a pupil.
Believing this was his chance to finally make something of himself, Daye became engrossed in the congregation's teaching.
Based on older teachings and the congregation's history of violence and its disturbing yet effective methods of reducing the number of infidels and worshipers of the All-Mother (i.e mass killings), Daye became convinced that this was the way to move forward. Additionally, his prideful nature never forgave himself for his physical condition and believed that Inlanders are cheaters of natural selection (such that the Institution artificially alters genes prenatally to eliminate various diseases), making them inferior beings and thus deserving to be sacrificed. Overall, Daye targeted Inlanders and The Institution's children in particular.
It should be noted that this is mostly because he is jealous of Inlanders' wealth/health, and prosperity.
However, to maintain the image that the DAC is not the Children of Maira church, Daye uses his master manipulation skills to a) convince others to perform his slaughter of Inlanders for him and b) convince others that the DAC is a harmless and welltodo congregation.
