Asheplaines, The

A large, barren wasteland, corrupted by the lingering magical essence of fallen gods; most notably from the death of Ares. Largely uninhabitable with the exception of hardier creatures such as orcs, humans, and goliaths. While it is assumed many small communities exist within the wastes, only two cities are known to exist. There are however legends of a ruinous cathedral amongst a lost orcish capital, hidden somewhere in the blood soaked plaines where an ancient orc warrior once single handedly defeated an army. The stories go the orc released a battlecry so loud and ferocious he shattered the bones of the soldiers nearest him and inspired deimosic levels of terror in the rest all the while bringing the entire city down on himself and the remaining foes. While it is officially classified as a democracy, The Ashplaines' government exerts little to no influence over its citizens and is likely a puppet government for a yet unknown third party. (No consistent architectural themes, The University of Potcha resembles babylonian but is in shambles.)
