Sierran Republic, The

A ditheocratically ruled nation, the Sierran Republic is a country of high mountains and deep canyons in which most of the “habital” land exists at more than 3000 meters above sea level, on average it's often closer to 5000 meters above sea level. Cities are almost exclusively built on plateaus, steep mountain sides, or into the cliffsides themselves. A simple feat for the largely goliath population. The highest of these mountains are the High Sierres themselves, which even the lowest of peaks is more than twice the altitude of any other mountain top on the northern continents. . What parts of this country aren't mountain high or canyon low are covered in almost impossibly thick jungle. It is in these jungles that one can find the other inhabitants of this country, the goblinoids. Parallel rulers that somehow hold themselves in a harmonious partnership. They proudly proclaim themselves to be the sworn enemies of Chasla, as well as the reason said kingdom is in a near perpetual state of night. They claim in their devote worship of Hemera and Helios, the goblins stole the day and its' warmth from Chasla, while the goliaths, with their heavenly strongholds, reached out and stole the sun. The unnaturally long days and jungle heat of the Sierran Republic in spite of its geographical location do little to dispute these claims.
