Corporal Cain (a.k.a. Beetle)
Cain is the chosen champion of The Insect That Crawls, gifted the power of the beetle. He is mostly referred to by everyone as Beetle, though occasionally more brave/reckless champions use the nickname Blue.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
While Cain isn't particularly large he is impeccably trained and is mostly solid muscle, having both speed and strength on his side.
Special abilities
Cain can summon a chitinous skin as extra armour as well as sense vibrations through the ground from a good distance away when given time to focus.

Personal history
Cain was part of the fourth wave of Champions and pretty horrified by some of the other's eating habits. He's considered one of the main fighters because he has knowledge of a fair range of weapons and really likes to have multiple knives on him at all times. Just in case.
Unlike many champions Cain is pretty open about his past, except for the part's where he's incredibly close-mouthed. He's mentioned being homeless while young for a time and committing theft and robbery, some time spent in the army, and the fact that Cain isn't his legal name.

He served in the US Army for 4 years before being dishonourably discharged. He is reticent about his time in the service and what happened to get him discharged.

Of all the champions Cain is probably closest to Vix as they have somewhat of a sibling relationship, with Selina as his fellow expaserated adult. He has also been stated to watch over Allen, Bayley, Kye, Maricel and Amber, as they are the youngest and least mature of the champions. He primarily patrols with some combination of them as well.
He once mentioned befriending an army chef and learning a lot from him. The status of that friend is unknown.
Family Ties
According to Cain his father is dead and he doesn't know where his mother is. There was an uncle he was in contact with for a time but stopped talking to upon assuming a new identity.
Religious Views
He was a devout Christian for a while. He's not so sure anymore and started doubting before the formation of the champions.
