Mac's Bar
Mac's Bar acts as a headquarters for the Montana Locksmiths, though it has also been somewhat co-opted as a Hunters' bar where they meet to swap information and get assistance. Sarnport is a place where the The Court of Irons is far too distracted by faciliating corruption and, later, fighting the Pantheon Champions, to notice the resistance taking place.
Purpose / Function
Mac's Bar is, as the name suggests, a bar. A dive bar, to be exact. The floors and furniture are made of dark and slightly sticky wood and it's not particularly bright in there. On the flip side, due to the usual patrons, it's not that rowdy either. Hunters are mostly quiet and solemn and don't interact much with normal civilians, making up the majority of the customers in there at any one time. Having realised that the owner is aware of them and doesn't give a damn it quickly became a favoured place for Hunters, who used it to socialise and swap information and the like.
However, it's primary - if secret - purpose is to serve as the headquarters of the local Locksmiths. Ms. McNamara made a number of alternations to better facilitate this, leaving the basement as a sturdy panic room and meeting room and a fair amount of the back rooms converted for secret storage. Due to being a public place Locksmiths can openly enter and spend a few hours reporting intelligence, planning their next moves and maintaining their weapons and skills before leaving again. Those needing a safe place to lay low will enter more covertly and remain out of sight for as long as it takes. It's used to cache more specialised equipment that may be needed for particular types of missions and it's not unusual to see Locksmiths bargaining to swap weaponry or ammo with each other, occasionally doing the same with any amenable Hunters.
Alterations
The kitchen was made smaller and a lot of the storage areas expanded and hidden in case of a raid or inspection. The living quarters were slightly modified to have better security and escape paths. The biggest alterations took place in the basement, however, with it expanded as much as she could manage and reinforced with a vault door and walls. The basement contains emergency rations and basic living facilities, an area with filing cabinets and a large table for meetings and intelligence, and an area for training and weapon maintenance with all sorts of martial arts and exercise equipment. It is heavily soundproofed and insulated and it is difficult for signals to penetrate it.
History
Mac's Bar was handed over to Ms. McNamara a number of years ago, her basing her new name off of it, in a set of circumstances she refuses to talk about. However, in the time she's owned it has done rather well for itself, making enough money to keep open and undergoing some small renovations but managing to stay under the radar of the SCPD and The Court of Irons. Being an actual, public building owned by a Locksmith, it quickly became the headquarters of their activities in Montana and honestly across a lot of the northern USA, serving as a communication hub and safehouse.
