The Kreegan, a civilization, were visited by the Anunnaki, a celestial species, who issued a warning that their home world, Hadawon, was destined to perish due to the death of its own sun. In a difficult situation, the Kreegan were misled by a mysterious entity known as the Strange One, who deceived them and transformed them into metal monsters of chaos.

Military: WarThe invasion of Shallager was carried out with deceit and dishonor as the Kreegan gained favor with the Yonhet, only to enslave and assimilate them into their horde. The Yonhet were subsequently subjected to genetic enhancements and augmentations that transformed them into mindless super soldiers who blindly followed orders.

Invasion of Katurn
Military: WarWhen the Kreegan arrived at the planet Katrun, they followed their protocol of scanning for sapient life. If a species was found, they could either join the horde or face extinction. A battle ensued, but the Cringereons, the planet's inhabitants, were no match for the Kreegan force. The Covenant intervened, but suffered utter defeat by the Kreegan Lord Diyu. With six infantry divisions eliminated, the Covenant was forced to retreat to the safety of the warp rings, beyond the reach of the Kreegan.

Military: SkirmishUnder the direction of the Strange One, the Kreegan continue their pursuit of the Annunaki and encounter several forward operating bases of the Covenant. Due to their overwhelming power, the Kreegan easily decimate these bases, putting significant pressure on the Covenant to reestablish and bolster its military forces.
