Ris has a special type of guard, nothing much is known about it. But people who break rules do not come out of the city with their mind intact.

Striix is largely a trading city, with a large black market, it is one of the best places to find any given item, especially anything that is mind-related.
Ris trades in gold as any other place, one can also trade in souls.

Tourism

Noone goes to Ris because of anything but the market, one should never take the risk of going there, if not for the glorious market.
