The Unseen Maw

The Forest wasn't as bad as they were told, the exiles moved through the forest without a care as they been here for a little over a day with nothing to show for danger, seems that it was all horror stories told by parents to scare their children. Granted it was a little tough to find something edible but otherwise, everything was fine. Deciding that the right choice was to scavenge for a food supply they split up into smaller groups to search. after a good while, one of them found a berry bush as they walked over to harvest the barries they saw it disappear only for a horror unheard off to appear in its place devouring one of them. Roughly six foot tall and 30 foot wide with six human-like limbs but the was the least of their worries as half the horrid creature was its maw and as they looked at it seemed to smile and dissipate. running franticly away some stumbled over the thick shrubbery of the forest yet they didn't seem to be devoured. running franticly through the Forest he saw a group of what seemed to be a group of heavily armed adventures and just as it seemed the final approach they faded into the wind leaving only the inside of the creature's mouth. They say that there are fates worse than death and seeing the insides of the creatures is one of them.
