Guilds of Parhelion

The Guilds of Parhelion

Many see the advantage of forming groups with like minded people who prefer to take on certain tasks, and we put these groups under the umbrella term of 'Guilds'.

Founding a Guild

To found a guild requires a minimum of four players and all characters involved must be level eight, and complete a founding quest run by a staff member or full GM who won't have a character that is part of the guild or other conflicts of interest. This will create the organization and their Guildhouse, a unique Building that can be accessed and added onto by all Guild Members, and all Guild Members can use its facilities. This building does not generate income. Part of creating the organisation will be rules for guild members, such as entry requirements, dues, and if they can belong to other guilds.

In addition, each Guild can choose one Teamwork Feat that all Guild members can the use of, but only with another Guild member. Guild Members must be able to qualify for this feat: as such, choosing one with significant Prerequisites may limit who can and cannot join a guild. Which may be the point.

Running a Guild

Guilds need to have one Guild-based quest a month, which can be run by any GM. Not all members need to be involved in this quest, but at least half the Guild should go on one. If a quest cannot be run due to a lack of available GMs this rule may be extended or waived. More Guild quests can be run, but half of the members need to go on a Guild quest over the month. The first month this requirement is not met without an exemption request to staff that staff approve, Guild members lose their benefits. If 3 months pass without this requirement being met, the Guild is disbanded and needs to be restarted to regain guild building and benefits. All Guild quests should be marked as such by GMs in session boards and gm logs.

Joining and Leaving a Guild

Once a guild is founded new members of any level can be added by majority vote of the current guild members. Equally, people can be removed by a majority vote.

A player may also willingly leave a Guild at any time.

Should they leave, they lose all benefits of being in that guild immediately.

A character may be in multiple guilds, although the benefits do not overlap. Not all guilds are required to allow players to belong to other guilds.
