boarochs (BOR-ox)

This creature appears to be a combination of a giant boar and an aurochs. As these animals are not compatible breeders, some magic was clearly used in its creation.   DnDBeyond link

Charge. If the boarochs moves at least 20 feet straight toward a target and then hits it with a gore attack on the same turn, the target takes an extra 13 (3d8) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it must succeed on a DC 15 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.   Relentless (Recharges after a Short or Long Rest). If the boarochs takes 15 damage or less that would reduce it to 0 hit points, it is reduced to 1 hit point instead.   Silvered Horns. The tusks and horns of the boarochs have veins of silver running through them and are considered to be silvered weapons.

Basic Information

Growth Rate & Stages

Generally it's not clear whether a piglet is a boarochs until its adult tusks come in at around a year old.

Dietary Needs and Habits

Boarochs occasionally develop a hunger for silver, likely to replenish or expand their tusks and horns.

Behaviour

Boarochs are hardy and very aggressive. While judicious use of skill and magic may move one towards friendly over the course of several weeks, to the point of learning commands, they can only used as mounts by a single person (usually raised from very young by their eventual rider).
