Acquiring Wild Shapes
To acquire a new wild shape, one must usually:
- Be in an appropriate biome to find the creature.
- Locate at least one specimen.
- Observe the specimen for the requisite amount of time:
- 15 minutes: If you're able to get up close and personal with the creature.
- 60 minutes: If you can only observe the creature at a distance.
Effects between forms
An effect on a creature persists on that creature where analogous body parts subject to the effect are present. As an example, enhancement of a bear's claws (coating them in acid or poison) would not persist back to the humanoid form (unless the humanoid has claws, like a
tabaxi) but could be carried over from bear form to another form with claws or talons.
