King Of Etaine

The King of Etaine is nominated by the Nobility Council upon a previous kings death. The King is selected by the council on the basis of who represents the Eatianian ideals of honour and chivalry the most. Often this title will stay within the same noble family, as a noble's honourable actions are often considered a reflection of the family name. The King rules the entire kingdom of Etaine, and is given absolute power over all in his kingdom. However, this power is often diluted through the nobles who act on his Nobility Council.

Candidates have their actions, lineage, and holdings assessed and assigned numerical values based on how honourable and chivalrous they are deemed. After the week is up, the highest scoring candidate is announced and is crowned the next day. The crown and would be King, undergo a procession from Etainian capital to the kings main holding, which will become the new capital of Etaine.
