Pathfinder House Rules
Banned outright (monsters and players). Annoying BS weapon even with the damage nerf with the chaos it can cause for both monsters and players alike.
Nerf - This critical effect like others will allow the affected creature to make a reflex save in the case of a flail, or a fortitude save in the case of a hammer
By defualt the Hammer / Flail critical effect is greater than 2 other weapon families criticals alone as RAW, does not allow a save, and has no size bearing on the creature. At least by allowing a save, it brings it back in line to balance out with the other families of weapons.
Buff? - DC is not 20 it is decided by the GM and adjusted for difficulty based on level and challenge (aka worth trying now)
Aid was too difficult at low levels and an automatic crit at high levels. This should keep it relevant throughout all levels.
Disarm Action
Buff - a normal success = swashbucklers "Disarming Flair" feat
The default disarm regular success does near nothing. This should make it much more relevant and worth using for all characters. Nothing in the swashbucklers feat line requires "disarming flair" as a pre-requisite so they are not losing out. This is basically a feat they should not take as a swashbuckler will get it automatically by just being a swashbuckler.
Buff - New Heightend 5 version - You may use any movement type not just stride
Normal haste only allows you to use the stride action which is a land speed only. This homebrew heightened version allows you to use haste heightened to 5th level to allow for other movement types as well. note Heitened 7 still only allows for up to 6 creatures to stride, and does not allow for all movement types.
Buff - not sure how yet but buff. Look at this video GM and decide how to run it.
