Champion Token
A champion token is a now-retired coin once granted by the early Caelsimilian government to individuals who demonstrated exemplary character and faith through various acts of courage, charity, and merit. While there were no published guidelines or standards that qualified a recipient, it was generally awarded to leaders, activists, and foward-thinkers whose deeds benefited a major city, a region, or the people of the nation as a whole.
It was awarded by the Caelsimilian government in an informal ceremony, on behalf of all other people of the nation.
History
The creation and issuance of 6 champion tokens (though they were not yet named as such) was the first formal act of the newly-established Caelsimilian government. They were presented to 6 "extroardinary beings whose vigilance, guidance, compassion, innovation, adaptability, and sense of duty have acted as the very pillars" on which the continued success and growth of the settlers rested.
Rather than being issued on behalf of Caelsimil as a whole, these first few were instead issued in the names of one of each of the 6 major deities of the Caelsimilian Pantheon.
