High Priestess Viene Myrin'ta (a.k.a. Red Arachnid)
One of Xaren Myrin'ta's sadistic sisters and a member of the House of Bats. Viene grew tired of living under her mother's thumb, but knew she was unable to kill her. She left the family's clan with Antony Myrin'ta to find power elsewhere. The two were accepted into the House of Bats, but after Antony left, Viene was treated like a lesser member for allowing him to get away.
The punishment's she suffered only made her crueler, so when Xaren and Antony returned to the Underdark, she took to the caverns to hunt them down with a party of her own. To give the party access to the house's library, Xaren offered himself as bait and had his father turn him over to Viene. She tortures him for his betrayal, but is stopped by Vihrea, as she's resurrected by Sabella to save him.
The party tries to flee with Xaren in tow, but a fight ensues between them and Viene's forces. After her men are cut down, she's slain by the party, acting as the start of their campaign of terror against Velevana and her high priestesses.
