Second Session Character Questions

  • Pick one of your character's known languages. Tell me how your character learned it, and why/what its relevance is on their life. Who taught it to them- or did they study it on their own? Are their aspects or features of the language that they struggle with?
  • Name 3 fears your character has. You do not have to go in-depth- in the future, I may ask you to elaborate on their greatest one. For now, you can pick any 3. Feel free to include a sentence or two explanation if you'd like; it is not required.
  • How can someone new earn your character's trust?

1.) Thimble learned of aklo through one of the many tomes the carnival acquired on the road. She thought that knowing it would help with her search for occult knowledge, but her mother refused to find a teacher for her. When Tarka began traveling with the carnival years ago, Thimble bonded with her instantly. The two shared a common interest in the occult and Tarka gladly taught Thimble the language.   2.) Thimble is afraid of storms, the dark, and the end of the world due to a cosmic catastrophe.   3.) Thimble loves to weasel her way into a place's populace through the local gossip. In her experience, there's no quicker way to fit in than to know what's going on behind closed doors. Anyone willing to share rumors is a friend worth having. She's also fond of people who aren't put off by her attitude or the weird (and worrisome) things she says. And most importantly; Be. Nice. To. Vinny.

    1) Aeki grew up primarily speaking Rasidian, but when she begin her hunting trips with her father he began to teach her Rasidian-Necril. This was to be used as a secret language between the two, a code that few others would understand if the need was. Now she uses it fairly regularly, especially when writing letters back home to her parents, another security measure should they end up intercepted.   2) Sphynx, electricity (like as an element, she's not going to cower in fear from an electric light bulb), being abandoned or betrayed.   3) Aeki is slow to trust, eventually any with a kind heart will earn good standing in her book. But those who give others a chance at redemption, or wear their convictions on their sleeve openly- good or bad- are more likely to be seen in a good light than bad. A bad person who tells the truth is better than one who keeps it hidden after all.

1 Niorah knows elven as one of the most common races where shes from if she wanted to leave the village and converse with the locals this seemed the most accesable to learn one of the other members in her tribe thought it was a good idea and they learned it together first by stealing books and trying to decipher them to being able to practice on themselves then people.   2. fear of maddness, fear of constructs, fear of insignificance.   3. Honestly its pretty easy for Niorah to trust she has a were all in this together mindset so unless you show blatant incomitance or betray her or any of her allies if your on her side you have her trust.... also pranks she enjoys a harmless prank so if your in as well thats just a bonus.
