1) Several wolves circle a fresh kill, a small dear. The wind carries the scent of the felled beast through the woodland, alerting the other deer of the preditors not far away. Aeki is one of these deer, running through the open. Her hooves drag softly against the long grass, tickling softly against her coat. Another of her pack yells as its felled- this time by a strange creature. Bipedal and hairless, it manifested a strange stick into her friend. More come raining out of the woods, arrows swish passed her before finally one lands in her belly, but Aeki does not stop running. She knows she will bleed out, that the arrow can only mean death- yet she yearns for those final moments in the wood.

3) Of course, her faith. Aeki grew up in a safe world, even in the most dangerous situations she found herself in her father and dad were there. It was stepping out of this world where she learned of danger, and the ever present power of the gods- and most of all the Oracle. Her faith combined with the power of the communities around her- be it the church, her friends, or these new allies, grant safety.
