Carcerians

Some humanoids mutated by exposure to the Energized Malachite mining process become Carcerians. Their bodies undergo a transformation into a musclebound hulk. They gain height and considerable mass. However, their minds atrophy, leaving them significantly less intelligent and insane to some degree. Most are easily overwhelmed with anger. Each of their bodies is twisted in some way, often by the development of additional superflous, non-functional limbs. Such limbs might grow from anywhere on the body, such as a hand with too many fingers sprouting from a thigh.
