Trunchin

The last functioning city on the planet Ghora. Due to the devastation Energized Malachite has wrought to the world, the people of Trunchin are short, gray of skin, and generally unhealthy. The life expectancy is half what is expected in other settlements. Unable to grow food in their barren fields and starved for all manner of resources, the people of Trunchin trade what malachite they can scrape from their depleted mines. Such actions only worsen conditions here.
Humanitarian interests in Trunchin have long ago abandoned attempting to improve conditions. Instead, they focus on evacuation and relocation of its people exclusively. A strained defense force also tries to prevent slaver ships from reaching the city, but find this increasingly frustrating, as the citizens are all too willing to forgo their freedom if they can only leave.
